50049 Defiance was used for The Lincoln Marketeer tour run by Pathfinder Tours. The locomotive worked from Salisbury to Barnetby via the East Coast Main Line (ECML) and via Leicester and the Midland Main Line (MML) for the return.

The tour carried people wishing to visit the Christmas market in Lincoln and those enthusiasts wishing to stay on for the final destination at Barnetby.
