The Class 50 Alliance Ltd, in association with the Severn Valley Railway, run driver experience courses using one of their locomotives on a number of days each year.
The second course in the 2008 calendar, for which the author was a delegate, ran using locomotive 50044 Exeter hauling a short consist of six carriages between Bewdley and Bridgnorth.
