50015 Valiant attended the June 2013 diesel gala at the Great Central Railway (Nottingham). It was only the second time a member of the class had been a guest locomotive at this particular preserved railway - the first being 50007 Sir Edward Elgar back in 2003.

The locomotive provided turns from Ruddington to Loughborough and the return.
