20017 Severn Valley Railway Gala

50007 Hercules, 50008 Thunderer, 50031 Hood, 50049 Defiance and 55022 Royal Scots Grey attended the May 2017 diesel gala at the Severn Valley Railway.

During the gala there was the opportunity for 50031 Hood to haul a diagram using a set of Mark II coaching stock painted in British Rail InterCity livery, matching that of the locomotive itself. This gave an opportunity to see how Class 50-hauled services would have have appeared, had the class remained in service for a while longer.

The locomotives provided turns from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth and Kidderminster to Bewdley.
