Almost a year since its first test run, fully-repainted locomotive 50033 Glorious was unveiled at a private ceremony on the Severn Valley Railway. Invited guests comprising those who had either donated funds to the project or who had spent their time working on the locomotive to bring it back to its former glory.

For the author, it was a special day as it had been over 35 years since I had last seen the locomotive in an operational condition sporting a British Rail Large Logo livery - see photograph.
