2010 Great Central Railway Gala

50007 Sir Edward Elgar attended the April 2010 diesel gala at the Great Central Railway. The locomotive had attended the previous diesel gala in September 2009 at this line and had over-wintered there.

The locomotive provided turns from Loughborough to Leicester and the return as well as a shuttle service between Loughborough and Rothley.

Later in the year 55009 Alycidon attended the September 2010 diesel gala. This was the first time that this locomotive had visited the line, providing turns from Loughborough to Leicester and the return.
