40013 Andania and 50035 Ark Royal attended the May 2016 diesel gala at the Swanage Railway. This was the first time in 31 years that 40013 had hauled a train in preservation since its withdrawal by British Rail back in 1985

The locomotives provided turns from Swanage to Norden and the return.
