50031 Hood and 50049 Defiance working for Arriva Trains Wales provided the motive power for shuttle services between Gloucester and Cardiff in support of an international rugby match held in Cardiff. This was another service train Class Fifty Operations Limited ran in 2006 with Arriva Train Wales, the two locomotives operating in a top-'n'-tail formation.

The patches of differing shades of yellow on the cab sides were caused by the removal of stickers that had been specially applied for a railtour earlier in the year.
